After being rescued and without a pulse for 45 minutes, John's medical team begin to give up reviving him. However, when John's mother, Joyce (Chrissy Metz) enters the trauma room, she begins to desperately pray out loud and soon after John's pulse returns. Though amazed by the miracle, John's doctors remain sceptical about a possible full recovery but his family insist on being hopeful as they are encouraged by their unwavering faith in God's abilities.
