The Corpse Bride collection is the first time that Revolution have used air-tight tin packaging for one of their 9-pan palettes, and they must have used a softer formula for the shades - I'm not usually a fan of the brand's shimmers & would rate them okay-but-dry-and-crumbly, but the ones in this palette are actually very good & I'd rate them at excellent-for-the-price. I normally find the brand's 2018+ matte formula to be great, but yeah, these shades do feel that bit softer & more effortless to blend compared with all earlier eyeshadow palettes I've ever tried from the brand. Every shadow wears well all day (12+ hours) on me, with no fade or creasing. Do I have any niggles with this palette? The shades Alfred and Bonesapart don't look wildly dissimilar once blended out on the eye - they can be told apart, but I do still think that they are fairly close since the light sprinkles of shimmer in Bonesapart don't translate to the eye. The deepest shade [Black Widow] isn't truly deep unless mixed with the next deepest shade [Wellington], so I'd rather that we hadn't have had either Alfred or Bonesapart included in this palette and had gotten a matte deep brown or wine shade instead. Also, generally speaking; the colour story in the Grave Misunderstanding palette is very pretty, but it doesn't scream "Corpse Bride" to me [I'd have gone for cool gray-tinged neutral tones to represent the character Victoria, since she gets a lipstick in the collection]. - This palette isn't quite something that I'd call faultless, but I'd still definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable warm neutral palette - the shade selection is very pretty & easy to wear, the matte to shimmer ratio (6:3) increases the number of looks you can make, the tin palette itself is stunning & protects the shadows from the air, and the formulas are excellent for a drugstore brand.
