Worms, the legendary turn-based strategy game in which cartoonish worms fight to death for territory, comes to the Wii in the form of Worms Battle Islands. The game features six environments that will deform as play proceeds and weapons are made to wreak their terrible toll on the landscape. These environments provide 30 single-player campaign missions in which the gamer battles the Wii-controlled opposition. Along with these come the addition of 30 brain-melting puzzle challenges that will enable the player to get used to all of the 40-in game weapons and utilities available to them. There are also five multi-player modes that will pit the Wii owning Worms general against friends and family. These battles will let the gamer build up an online rank and score to be shown against Wii Wormers from all over the world. With a ranking system that uses progressively higher ranks until you reach the top, this is a good place to show off. The War Room feature enables gamers to customize both weapons and utilities in order to make the most of both attack and defence. They can also customise their own islands and levels to provide unique challenges.
