In the original game, previously only released in Japan, Imperial Princess Excella was a non-playable character, but in the new Refrain Mode of Shining Resonance Refrain, both she and the dragon slayer Jinas can be added as party members for a new experience - but be sure to save this for your second playthrough to avoid spoilers!

Dragons were long believed to be extinct, and since Yuma has the ability to transform into the Shining Dragon, he was captured by the Empire.
