Having raised $30,000, he sends his second-in-command Scotty across the border to buy the weapons, but Scotty is double-crossed by the gun dealers: his men are wiped out and he himself barely escapes. Villa vows revenge, and sets off for Columbus with his men to take on both the dealers and the US army.
