Gianfranco Rosi directs this documentary which focuses on the everyday lives of people trying to survive in the war-torn Middle Eastern countries of Iraq, Kurdistan, Lebanon and Syria. Filmed over the course of three years, the documentary examines everyday life for those living amidst civil war, Western invasions and the rise of ISIS.
