The film follows former lovers Kyra Gerbaine and Felix Gretton (Mackenzie and Philip Friend) as they are reunited in a London hotel, years after separating during the war. Their relationship had previously compromised Felix's post as an intelligence officer and allowed a spy to escape. Now working as a waiter, Felix sets out to capture the spy by employing Inspector Fred Borcombe (Dwyer) to track him down after Kyra spots him in the hotel.
