Leslie Arliss writes and directs this British drama starring James Mason and Margaret Lockwood. Clarissa (Phyllis Calvert) becomes acquainted with her impoverished fellow school pupil Hesther (Lockwood), who then repays her friendship by trying to steal Clarissa's evil husband, Lord Rohan (Mason). The cast also includes Stewart Granger, Martita Hunt and Helen Haye.
