Following the death of Lord Erroll (Peter Sands), Sir Henry Delves Broughton (Denholm Elliott) is charged with murder after it comes to light that Lord Erroll was having an affair with Delves Broughton's wife, Lady Diana (Amanda Hillwood). 15-year-old Juanita Carberry (Holly Aird), the daughter of Delves Broughton's friend John (Michael Byrne), may be the only one who knows the truth of what happened.
