In 'The Man Who Liked Funerals' (1959) Simon Hurd (Phillips) takes it upon himself to raise the necessary finances to keep the local youth club open. In 'Don't Just Lie There, Say Something' (1974) Phillips stars as Sir William Mainwaring-Brown, a Government minister with a roving eye who has just introduced a bill to combat libertarian behaviour in Britain.
