Bernard Knowles directs this comedy drama based on the play by Arnold Riley. Following their successes with the football pools the Stafford family become increasingly disruptive, a city clerk plucks up the courage to leave his job, a group of pools cheats are dealt with by the authorities and a dispirited bass player begins to tire of the high life. The cast features Greta Gynt, Dennis Price and Jack Warner.
